Bob on the School Photo of 1958
I was at the Technical High School from 1955 - 1959 (I left school slightly early as I had a chance of a job - that wouldn't happen now would it!). I'm in the 1958 photo and my claim to fame that I was a County Rugby player and England trialist at U14 level.
I later joined the police from which I recently retired. Just
thought you might be interested to hear that I have recently published a
book of my memories, including at least one reference to 'Gunner' , the
Rugby teacher (not Gary) who claimed to 'rrrrun down the pitch with 8
men on his bach' - yes 'rrrun' and 'bach' - and my 30 years of policing
Northamptonshire, which I think may be of interest.
