About Trinity
History
Trinity School, Northampton, was founded in 1945 as a
co-educational 11-18 Technical High School. The present
buildings and extensive grounds date from 1957 and now
benefit from recent major additions and re-modelling.
Trinity became a grammar school in 1969 and in 1973 became
the present 13-18 co-educational comprehensive school.
Accommodation and Facilities
In recent years the school has invested heavily in
improving its accommodation. Our present
facilities include eight well equipped faculty suites, a
separate Sixth Form Centre and an indoor heated swimming
pool set in extensive and attractive grounds.
Recent improvements include:
• the extension of the Library/information Centre.
• major refurbishment of the Science Faculty.
• re-modelled facilities for Educational Support.
• a Health and Fitness Suite.
• a Centre for Industrial Studies.
• improved accommodation and facilities for Expressive Arts
(Art, Music, P.E. Drama).
• new dining facilities.

Community Links
Trinity serves a meeting place for the local community and
is used regularly throughout the week. Our facilities, both
indoor and outdoor, are enjoyed by a wide range of local
clubs and societies, including Youth Clubs and bona fide
sports clubs.
Adult Education is provided at the school through
co-operation with Northampton College Campus. A wide range
of community education and vocational education courses are
provided at Trinity. If you would like further details of

Trinity has excellent links with the local business
community who actively support and regularly sponsor
activities to encourage our pupils' development. The school
has close links with Northamptonshire's Training and
Enterprise Council and the Education Business Partnership.
